The following information is taken from the 2011 SFBA Constitution concerning the STARS Network Team.

Article III:  STARS Network Affiliation

Section One: Name and Identity

1. This international network shall be known as the STARS Network, which is sponsored by and accountable to the San Felipe Baptist Association.
2. The STARS Network is a voluntary affiliation of Christian organizations cooperating together internationally to fulfill the Great Commission globally.
3. The purpose of the STARS Network is to advance the cause of Christ globally through Great Commission connections.  The STARS Network is characterized by vision and affinity, not geography.
4. The mission of the STARS Network is to assist SFBA churches and network affiliates in making disciples of all nations by strengthening and multiplying churches internationally.
5. The vision of the STARS Network is to implement a strategy assisted by regional coordinators to:  Strategize for lostness; Train leaders; Assist with connections; Reproduce churches and leaders; Strengthen churches.

Section Two:  Requirements for Affiliation

The STARS Network Team will use the following guidelines when receiving petitions for affiliation and will review the petitioning organization’s documents.

1. An organization desiring to be part of the STARS Network will be recommended by a SFBA member church.  This requirement will be reviewed one year after the Network has functioned.
2. The recommended organization will submit a brief ministry history and description.
3. The parameters of cooperation will be the vision of the Network and the essentials of the faith as stated by the modified National Association of Evangelicals.[1]
4. If the STARS Network Team approves the organization, a recommendation will be make to the Administrative Team.
